We are committed to demonstrating responsible leadership on industry issues and sustainability through cooperation with authorities, certification bodies, local communities and relevant industry organisations. At a local level, we participate in initiatives such as the Faroese Fish Farmers Association, Salmon Scotland, Scotland Food & Drink and other industry groups.

Bakkafrost is one of the founding members of a newly established Faroese Corporate Sustainability Initiative, which is chaired by Regin Jacobsen, CEO Bakkafrost. The project aims to advance sustainable business practice and contribute towards UN Sustainable Development Goals such as Climate Action.
