Bakkafrost Salmon with cheese and spinach

A delicious salmon recipe filled with creamy cheese and spinach together with a light salad

Serves: 4 people

Preparation time: 30 minutes


  • 4 salmon portions
  • Lemon pepper, salt and pepper
  • 130g (4.5 oz.) cream cheese
  • 40g (1.5oz.) spinach, cut in small pieces
  • 50g grated mozzarella cheese
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • The juice from half a lemon
  • 25g (1oz.) butter


  1. Cut the brown fat of the salmon. Then cut a horizontal cut in the salmon portion but not completely through, just so that it forms a small pocket.
  2. Whip the cream cheese briefly and then mix in the spinach, grated mozzarella cheese and garlic powder in. Then fill the pocket in the salmon with the mixture.
  3. Season the salmon portions with lemon pepper, salt and pepper.
  4. Melt the butter on a pan and fry the portions on medium heat about 5 min on each side. Squeeze the lemon juice on the portions as you fry.
  5. Serve the dish warm, preferably with a light spinach salad

Salad made from spinach leaves, cucumber and tomato with dressing of your choice.
