Bakkafrost has been recognised on CDP’s A-List for Forests, achieving an A score in CDP’s 2025 assessment.

The A score places Bakkafrost among leading companies globally for its approach to managing forest-related risks and promoting responsible practices across the value chain. CDP assesses companies based on transparency, governance, risk management, and concrete actions related to forests.

The recognition reflects Bakkafrost’s systematic work on traceability, responsible sourcing, and continuous improvement, carried out in close collaboration with suppliers and other stakeholders.

It also reflects Bakkafrost’s long-standing commitment to deforestation- and conversion-free sourcing. All soy protein used in our feed is non-GMO and certified to the ProTerra standard or equivalent, with a cut-off date of 2008, ensuring full traceability and alignment with leading deforestation-free supply chain standards.
